Slovakia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikuláš Dzurinda plans to replace four or more ambassadors and the proposal will be discussed by the cabinet on Friday, November 12, said Dzurinda at a news briefing on November 10, the SITA newswire wrote.
Dzurinda said he would not disclose the names yet.
"This is a very sensitive subject, you will be informed in due time. I can only say now that you will not be able to find much politics in the recalls, possibly none, only professional aspects," said the minister.
Dzurinda said the replacement ambassadors would not be political nominees, countering information reported in the media. Dzurinda explained that he is recalling ambassadors whose standard term of office is about to expire or has already expired or with whom he is dissatisfied for professional reasons.
