THE ČAS Vianočný / Festive Season exhibition in Žilina’s Makovického House cultural centre presents the works of folk craftsmen who are maintaining the tradition of old handicraft skills, and thus evoking the air of Christmas as it was once celebrated in Slovakia. Pietro e Lucia - Peter a Lucia – The famous love story, inspired by the novel of Romain Rolland, has become a rock opera that will be premiered in Slovakia at the Steel Arena. Director Dušan Rapoš and composer Jaroslav Moravčík found collaborators abroad, including famous soloists from Italy and Russia, and the Czech National Symphony Orchestra from Prague and Czech Philharmonic Choir from Brno.
