Culture Ministry establishes a European contact point office

Slovakia’s Culture Ministry established a European contact point office in January, as part of the Theatre Institute of Bratislava, in line with the programme statement of the government.

Slovakia’s Culture Ministry established a European contact point office in January, as part of the Theatre Institute of Bratislava, in line with the programme statement of the government.

Ministry spokesperson Eva Chudinová said on Tuesday, January 4, that the primary task of the contact point will be promotion of the grant programme Europe for Citizens and assistance to people applying for grants for preparation of international projects related to civic activities, the SITA newswire reported.

The EU programme Europe for Citizens supports a number of activities and organisations promoting active European citizenship. Within this programme local and regional authorities can get support for discussion events, conferences, workshops, sports events, research papers, and other civic activities of various characters. The fundamental condition is that the projects are based on international cooperation and concern current European themes.
