Employee in State Transport Office arrested for corruption

The Office for the Fight Against Corruption arrested a staff member of the State Transport Office on June 15 charging him with corruption in connection with awarding of transit licenses for international bus transport, Alena Vaškaninová Buchláková from the Transport Ministry told the TASR newswire.

She added that the Transport Ministry requested the Office for the Fight Against Corruption to investigate the activities of this staff member last November. The detained employee was immediately suspended from state service and will be dismissed if convicted.
