KDH to ally with SNS over amnesties

THE CHRISTIAN Democratic Movement (KDH), a member of the ruling coalition, will ally with the opposition over its proposal to cancel amnesties granted by former premier Vladimír Mečiar in the 1990s. The Hospodárske Noviny daily reported that KDH vice-chairman Pavol Abrhan said the KDH is ready to accept an SNS condition that another amnesty, granted by former president Michal Kováč to his own son, also be scrapped.
