In 2010, Slovakia ranked 40th on the list of Belgium’s major trade partners, after Thailand but ahead of Singapore.
Belgian exports to Slovakia amounted to €765.8 million in 2010 in comparison with €579.7 million in 2009, an increase of 32.1 percent.
In 2010 Slovakia received 0.2 percent of the total Belgian exports.
In 2010 Slovakia was in 42nd position in imports entering Belgium.
Belgium imported €730.9 million in goods from Slovakia in 2010 in comparison to €630.7 million in 2009, an increase of 15.9 percent.
The files of the Export Agency for Foreign Trade list 1,486 Belgian companies that export to Slovakia. There are also an additional 2,936 Belgian companies that have shown signs of interest in the Slovak market.
