Economic growth slowed in Q3, says Statistics Office

A flash assessment of economic growth in Slovakia in the third quarter of 2011 showed that it slowed by 2.9 percentage points compared to the same period in 2010, the Statistics Office reported on its website.

A flash assessment of economic growth in Slovakia in the third quarter of 2011 showed that it slowed by 2.9 percentage points compared to the same period in 2010, the Statistics Office reported on its website.

During the first nine months of 2011 the GDP of the country reached €18,254 million, representing an increase of 4.4 percent compared to the same period of 2010. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate increased by 1.7 percentage points year-on-year.
