Activist Hlina's seeks review of police handling of destruction of his pub in 2004

An alleged member of the “Piťovci” criminal gang destroyed the pub belonging to Bratislava activist and businessman Alojz Hlina in 2004, the Sme daily reported. The pub belonging to Hlina was destroyed and Hlina was beaten.

The Sme daily reported in its November 22 issue that the topky.sk web portal said the perpetrator was Matej B., a reported member of the "Piťovci" gang.

After many alleged members of the gang were detained in a massive police raid several days ago, Hlina has asked for a review of the police investigation and action in his case.
