Slovakia’s Effie awards announced

THE WINNERS of the 13th edition of Slovakia’s national competition to recognise the most effective advertising campaigns were announced in late September with an 18-member jury selecting the best seven efforts out of 25 that were submitted. The Istropolitana Ogilvy agency, with its communication concept billboards for VÚB Banka, and Wiktor Leo Burnett agency, with its Orange Improliga campaign for mobile operator Orange Slovensko, shared the top gold award. Istropolitana Ogilvy also took a bronze award in the category of perishable goods for its ad campaign for the new Bažant Radler beer for Heineken Slovensko and in the category of telecom services for the Pappardelle campaign it developed for Slovak Telekom.

Wiktor Leo Burnett also won a bronze in the financial services category for its campaign for J&T Banka and for its Orange Street Art Gallery campaign for Orange Slovensko. Wiktor Leo Burnett was named Agency of the Year.

The last bronze award went to the Effectivity agency with its ads for the “Available Loans – Jingle Bells” campaign prepared for Poštová Banka.
