TRENČÍN-based Virtual Reality Media is a small company that is globally successful in a highly-sophisticated field – it manufactures flight simulators.

“There are only some tens of similar companies in the world and only a few of them offer flight simulators in the eastern part of the world,” stated Pavol Grman of the company’s management, as quoted by the Hospodárske Noviny economic daily last September.

The company was founded in 1994 and initially focused on flight simulators for military aviation in countries of the former Warsaw Pact. It now focuses primarily on simulators for business aviation, for instance Cessna jets.

Its customers include flight centres training commercial pilots and defence ministries from several countries. Only 2 percent of its simulators remain in Slovakia.

Currently Virtual Reality Media is working on developing a joint venture with a US-based company.
