Laco Deczi & Celula New York – Jazz trumpeter and leader of the Celula New York band, Deczi, a Slovak living in the US, returns to give a concert in Bratislava, with his son Vajco Deczi (drums), Nob Kinukawa (6-string bass), and Brian Charette (keyboard).

Egyptian Sinfonietta - The Egyptian Sinfonietta is the result of a closer cooperation between the Egyptian Philharmonic Society and the Cairo Opera House. The new Ensemble is a continuation of the activity of the Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, that already performed in Bratislava in 2011, and which was founded by Maestro El Saedi in 2003. It will perform, conducted under the baton of Maestro Ahmed El Saedi, “Prologue for Chamber Orchestra” by Ahmed El Saedi, “Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in G major K. 216” by Mozart, “Concerto for Violoncello and Orchestra in C major Hob. VII b/I” by Haydn, “Symphony No. 5 in B flat major” by Schubert.

Choreographic Factory + Improjam with Samo Hošek and Paľo Rak – This evening offers a platform for young choreographers and dancers to perform and discuss their “works in progress”. Scenic Reading for Children in English – Petržalka Library has organised a series of book readings for children aged 3 to 6 in English, as adapted by Traute Taeschner, professor specialising in teaching children foreign languages, followed by a discussion about how to teach them.

Musica sacra - This festival of spiritual music will hail the 1150th anniversary of the arrival of Ss Cyril and Methodius to Slovak territory. The 23rd year offers Czech Spirituál Kvintet and Baroque female Ensemble Fio-rello, as well as Hungary’s Ad Libitum, Austria’s Concilium Musicum, and others.

High Society Open Store Fashion Show - The show combines fashion by luxury brands and luxury cars, worth totally €30 million. It will aslo try to raise money for the local Children's Teaching Hospital by auctioning 6 litres of champaign.

Ružomberská ruža evetránov - Ružomberok Rose of Veterans - The parade of morethan 100 vintage cars and motorbikes leads from Ružomberok through Dolný Kubín to Martin, with the biggest hits being Buick from 1913, motorcycle Omega from 1927 and the Soviet Gaz 13 Čajka.

THE MULTI-GENRE, open-air site-specific performance Imaginácie / Imaginations will take place between June 13 and 20, in the streets of three cities: Košice, Prešov and Levoča. The event, which includes historical re-enactments, is a joint effort by European artists, domestic and foreign theatres and various organisations. Each year the event has a specific theme, and in 2013, the performance will have the leitmotif: “The Creation of World/Light”, offering images from different historical periods that blend with visions of the future. Audiences will also get to see acrobatics, fencing duels, a laser show and various types of dance. The performance will start at 21:00. More information can be found at

POKE Fest – The open-air festival comprises visual art, literature, film and street art, promoting the “non-commercial culture” of locals.
