Gašparovič to attend UN session

PRESIDENT Ivan Gašparovič has left for New York to attend the 68th session of the UN General Assembly.

PRESIDENT Ivan Gašparovič has left for New York to attend the 68th session of the UN General Assembly.

Gašparovič is expected to address the assembly on September 24, to evaluate Slovakia’s 20 years in the UN, and to present the positions of Slovakia to the current problems of the international community, the SITA newswire reported.

Gašparovič is also scheduled to meet the UN General Secretary Ban Ki-Moon, as well as the Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic.
