THE RENOWNED Harlem Gospel Choir returns to Slovakia for a holiday season performance on December 14 at 20:00 in the Reduta building of the Slovak Philharmonic, at E. Suchoňa Square 1 in Bratislava. Music for Boys and Girls Vol 1 – Within his recent tour promoting a new album, saxophonist Nikolaj Nikitin will play with a slightly different line-up (Róbert Ragan Jr on double bass, Ondrej Krajňák on piano and the only original musician – apart form Nikitin – who played on the album, Jozef Döme on drums and Michael “Patches” Stewart on trumpet).

Dolný Kubín
VIKTOR Hulík exhibits his peculiar artwork, called Ars Geometrica, in the Orava Gallery in Župný dom, Hviezdoslavovo Square in Dolný Kubín. After showings in Bratislava, Budapest and Prague, locals will get to know Hulík’s paintings, graphic art and objects – open Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 17:00 until January 12. Babylonská veža / Babylonian Tower - This physical theatre performance inspired by the refusal of current social values and forms, done to the music of alternative band Kvety Nikotínu, is the choreographic debut of Tibor Trulik.

Žiar nad Hronom
Leonardo Lacher Maique – This Cuban artist, who rose to fame in his homeland and has received recognition from cultural and artistic spheres, eventually moved to Slovakia and, after a creative hiatus, is putting on his second public exhibition.

ECOC Concluding Ceremony – The event to wrap up Košice’s year the as European Capital of Culture includes, among other things, the Light of Understanding concert, to be performed simultaneously in the Synagogue at Puškinova 3 and the Evangelical Church at Mlynská 23, offering a jazz section, a flamenco section and a fusion of other genres. The other concert – The Tenors – presents four Canadian tenors, Victor Micallef, Clifton Murray, Remigio Pereira and Fraser Walters singing classical and pop music.
