This results from the figures that the jobseekers include in their CVs. The expected salary is thus somewhat lower than the average salary of approximately €850, the TASR newswire reported.

The salary expectations have risen by 10 percent over the past five years. They rose from €797 to €831 on an annual basis in 2014.

The increases were largely fuelled by expectations of men, as they aim for a monthly salary of €953 on average. Women expect €721.

As for age categories, young people aged 17-24 have the lowest expectations, followed by people aged 55 or more. People aged 35-44 aim for salaries of €931 on average.

People who have only completed elementary school expect to earn €582. People with a university or college degree want their monthly salaries to top €1,000.
