BIRD-WATCHING: Two events on this weekend will bring devoted birdwatchers to the close vicinity of Bratislava, to have a half-day trip and explore raptors and water birds. FOLKLORE: 65th anniversary of SĽUK – Traditional and modern art are not always abhorrent. EXHIBITION/ART TALK: The former Thursday Art Talks in the Slovak National Gallery have now re-morphed into the Talking Art series, this time offering a guided lecture in the Non-Permanent Exposition “Nestex” by Dušan Buran, one of the curators of this exhibit, and architects Martin Jančok and Aleš Šedivec who will discuss the challenges of preparing the physical space for an art exhibition. OPERA: Maria Stuarda - The opera by Gaetano Donizetti has never been played before in Slovakia.
