CLASSICAL MUSIC: Bratislavská komorná gitara / Bratislava Chamber Guitar – The international music festival has begun, and on April 10, Hungarian musicians (Sándor Jávorkai on violin, Adám Jávorkai on cello) will perform with the artistic head of the festival, Slovak guitar player Miriam Rodriguez Brüllová. BALLET/PREMIERE: Le Corsaire – Adolphe Charles Adam – The ballet, written by Jules-Henri Vernoy de Saint-Georges, and composed by Adam is a masterpiece of the Romantic era of ballet; choreographed by Jospeh Mazilier and connected with the heyday of classical Russian ballet. The version to be premiered in the Slovak national theatre is inspired by the version of legendary Marius Petipa, while staged by Vasily Medvedev.  Starts: April 16 (11:00), 17-18, 19:00; new SND building, Pribinova 17. CLASSICAL MUSIC: Musical composers’ anniversaries (145 years since the births of Franz Lehár and Oskar Straus; 195 since the birth of Béla Kéler and 140 since the birth and 55 since the death of Jenö Huzska) in 2015 have inspired Hungarian soloists Anita Lukács and Zsolt Vadász conducted by László Gyükér to perform their works. Starts: April 19, 17:00; DPOH City Theatre of P.O. BLUES LIVE: Blues na lodi / Blues on a Boat – Blues evenings return to the Boat Cafe on the Petržalka side on the Danube River and this time it will welcome Boboš Procházka, Ajdzi Szabo, Pista Lengye, Martin Zajko and Martin Gajdoš play blues onboard a ship anchored in Petržalka, on the Danube river. Starts: April 19, 19:00; Loď Café/Divadlo v podpalubí, Tyršovo embankment of Danube. EASTER/EXHIBITION: The exhibition of decorated eggs made by Dezider Kremmer from Bíňa in Nové Zámky district are not bound just to Easter – they are decorated with Swarovski crystals, golden plates, and made from quail, turkey, ostrich eggs. Open: weekdays 9:00-16:00; until April 17; Podunajské Museum, Palatínova 13. CLASSICAL MUSIC: Allegretto Žilina festival of classical music celebrates 25 and offers four concerts between April 13 and 18; with the opening one bringing Slovak soprano Andrea Vizvári and Czech violinist Josef Špaček with Janáček Philharmonic from Ostrava, conducted by Hungarian Gergely Madaras performing works of Mozart, Bellini, Verdi, Ján Levoslav Bella, Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and Zoltán Kodály.  Starts: April 13, 19:00 Fatra House of Arts, Dolný Val 47. MULTICULTURAL EVENT: Aj my sme tu doma / We Are at Home Here, Too – The multicultural evening full of scents, tastes and music offers a film screening, a debate with a migrant, photo exhibition, food tasting and a concert of a Cuban band. CLASSICAL MUSIC: Košice Musical Spring – The 60th year of the classical music festivals brings a host of concerts between April 15 and May 17.
