The UK is the only Slovak university in top 500, but also top 1,000 list.
“The repeated placement of our university in the top 500 of the URAP ranking and improvement of its position proves the increasing quantity and quality of the research in the international comparison of universities, demonstrated by the number of quoting of research works in important international magazines, as well as the international cooperation of UK scientists,” university’s Rector Karol Mičieta said, as quoted in a press release.
UK improved its position for the third time in a row.
URAP was established at the Informatics Institute of Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey in 2009. Its main objective is to develop a ranking system for the world universities based on academic performances determined by quality and quantity of scholarly publications.
