Strong winds postponed giant slalom in Jasná

Plans for Sunday’s slalom competition remain unchanged for now.

Strong gusting winds forced organisers to postpone the women’s World Cup giant slalom scheduled to take place at the Jasná ski resort on Saturday, March 5 to Monday, March 7. Slovak skiers Petra Vlhová and Barbara Kantorová are also set to compete in this discipline. The first run was to take place at 10:00 and the second one at 13:00.

The weather forecast for the highly-anticipated discipline, slalom, is more favourable and it is expected to take place on Sunday as planned. The slalom competition will feature Slovak skiers Velez-Zuzulová, who is second in the current slalom standings, and Vlhová, currently fifth overall.
