The government approved this on April 13. Fico’s programme in Prague includes talks with his Czech counterpart Bohuslav Sobotka and an audience with President Miloš Zeman. Justice Minister Lucia Žitňanská, Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajčák and Economy Minister Peter Žiga will also take part in the Prague delegation.
The visit will focus on the development of economic cooperation, infrastructure projects, cooperation in relation to security and tourism as well as on current issues concerning European and international relations. The Slovak Government is interested in further strengthening relations between the two countries in all aspects of common interest, including the tradition of joint government sessions. The fourth such session in Slovakia is due to be organised soon.
UPDATE: Fico scrapped the trip to the Czech Republic, as after the government session on April 13, he went to the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NÚSVH) where he underwent examinations,because of a suspected heart attack. He is spending the whole day, Thursday, April 14, there, the Sme daily wrote.
