RUNNING: Míľa pre mamu 2016 / Mile for Mum 2016 - The Union of Mother Centres organises the biggest celebration of Mother's Day in Slovakia. The Mile for Mum is devoted to every single mum, regardless of age or skin colour. This competition was in the first year considered as a Guinness record in pushing strollers. Later it changed its name to “Mile for Mum”. In 2015 the event was attended by 28,213 registered participants. This year it has the style of folk traditions. FESTIVAL: Medzinárodný festival duchov / International Festival of Spirits and Ghosts – A mystery surrounding the noble nobleman Pálffy family is being continued, with the sons dying in batches of two in strange deaths. According to legend ghosts still live inside the walls. Directed by Vojtech Bartko. Starts: April 27-30, May 4-8, 9:00-18:00. Groups shall book in advance. Admission: €3-€10. DANCE: Medzi nami / Between us - Authorial, interactive, motion-visual presentation about a little girl, her family and charming granny develop the story of children who live throughout the world. Adults work, looking for the key to home, have children and they create a family with them. What does it mean home - at home for children? The story is real and fabulous at the same time. It reflects children's view of the world, which is confronted with the sight of adults. Concept is prepared and directed by Hana Strejčková, choreographed by Veronika Kacianová and Věra Ondrašíková, music prepared by Kuba Palys, Hearn Gadbois and DJ Buldog. CONCERT: Maok - hudba z iných sfér / Maok - music from other spheres - Creation of  the artist Maok is a collage of musical layers and moods, which offer the listener an opportunity to get carried away on the waves of feelings or dive safely inside, look into and open locked chambers of the world. His atmospheric production forms the background of many documentaries and feature films and rich is also his discography. His latest studio album is Inerei, which came out late last year. DANCE: Biele peklo alebo Mne sa to stať nemôže /  White hell or It cannot happen to me - Music, Drama and Dance Theatre brings to the stage processing the problem of drug abuse. As a literary template the novel by Radek John - Memento was used. Young man Martin sits in a remand cell. He is accused of wilful bodily harm possibly resulting in death. He is there considering his life. The central motif of the story is a personal confession of a man, who "passed through hell" and found himself at the very bottom. He considers where drug addiction can lead and if it is possible to break out from this vicious circle of possible outcomes. The story is written, directed and choreographed by Dana Dinková, music used by W. A. Mozart – S. Wurz: Rockquiem (selection) and The Doors (selection). DANCE: Roots - The story about a man on the road, which will lead him to surprising places. He experiences striking things as someone does not want him to get where he is going. It's up to him if his trek will start to be a nightmare or cathartic return to the original place. FESTIVAL: Natura vinum 2016 - Two day festival of authentic wines Natura Vinum in its third year. Visitors can again experience a unique festival concept, which gives the opportunity to meet winemakers from different European countries, who are connected with the idea of traditional authentic method of producing unique wines.
