FESTIVAL: Víkend otvorených parkov a záhrad/ Weekend of open parks and gardens–This event gives people the opportunity to get to know favourite places of  garden art in Slovakia by the new way or insight into commonly accessible parks and gardens. The aim of this cultural and educational event is to present the value, particularly of historic parks and gardens to the public by the attractive process and lead them to active protection. SPORTING EVENT: 51. ročník obnoveného mítingu Pravda - Televízia - Slovnaft (P - T - S) - 51st year of this meeting Pravda - Television - Slovnaft  (P - T - S) - 170 competitors from four continents and 34 countries will meet in Šamorín-Čilistov in the event organised by the Slovak Athletic Association (SAZ), including twenty competitors who have earned medals from major events, three of them are leaders of this year's World rankings. Dolná Krupá

FESTIVAL: Festival hudby a Slávnosť ruží 2016/  Music Festival and the Festival of Roses 2016. This is already the ninth two-day Festival of roses in honor of Mária Henrieta Choteková, rose grower and founder of the rose garden in Dolná Krupá from the early 20th century. “The rose weekend” will be full of beauty, music and fragrances. Visitors can experience thousands of roses, a rich programme, music, poetry, mead and much more including the Hatchet evening festival of folk music and singing coupled with open-air festivities. CLASSICAL MUSIC: Janáčkov komorný orchester (CZ)/ Janáček Chamber Orchestra - The event will take place in the context of Musica Sacra  - The 26th year of this international musical festival of sacred music -  Musica Sacra will also present world premieres and it will last until July 3. The opening concert will offer its listeners, among others, Stabat Mater by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi presented by Janáček chamber quartet, Johana Černohorská (soprano) and Jan Mikuško (countertenor). FESTIVAL: Dolce Vitaj/  Sweet life or Dolce Welcome –Slovakia will welcome the ninth year of the event Dolce Vitaj this month, bringing the greatest attractions from Italian culture and gastronomy. Original architecture and design, concerts, theatres, movies and also traditional Italian delicacies come to Bratislava, Martin, Poprad and Banská Bystrica. GASTRONOMY: Pikniková Vegánska nedeľa, komunitná večera  - Vegan Picnic Sunday, community dinner - Vegan Sundays take place once a month and each one has its own epithet (leguminous, Indian, Traditional, Christmas). This one is related to International Picnic Day. The entry is free, however participants can leave a voluntary contribution by which the organisers cover the costs of raw materials. They make sure that on the table will always be  something. Active involvement is welcome. Pull out the blankets, dotted napkins, clothes and wicker baskets and participate in the first Vegan Picnic together with petangue and badminton, if you will take badminton rackets with you. OPERA: Macbeth - Macbeth is the tenth opera by Guiseppe Verdi in a row, where he firstly tuned a libretto according to Shakespeare’s work. Its premiere was in 1847. Verdi's Macbeth was created in his image of devastatingly destructive couple: Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are two wretched creatures and their relationship is a combination of  caricature of marriage and power struggle. Libretto was created by Franceso Maria Piave, music is rehearsed and led by Marián Vach, directed by Peter Gábor, choirmaster is Iveta Popovičová. DANCE: Roots - The story about a man on the road, which will lead him to surprising places. He experiences striking things as someone does not want him to get where he is going. It's up to him if his trek will start to be a nightmare or cathartic return to the original place. Choreographed by Stanislava Vlčeková, directed and music prepared by Jozef Vlk. COMPETITION: Petangový turnaj/   - Petanque Tournament - The traditional June petanque tournament is organised by FRASK (French-Slovak Association). FESTIVAL: Use the c!ty  - The eighth year in a row of the festival Use of the c!ty will lead the inhabitants of Košice from the Barracks / Culturepark to the huge bunker, to the knitted tram, at the Old Town bench built by neighbours, to the designer Market with Tabačka, to a discussion about the involvement of public affairs, to hip-hop workshops and also to the world of robots. Together it is seven days of 17 events held in three trams. Slovak Matej Vakula, the artist who at this time lives in New York together with informal group Wuppertálska will try to create and devise unusual solutions to public spaces. DANCE: ChaoTica (Derniere): Movement composition by Pál Frenák becomes the language of contemporary dance, which is dominated by loneliness, desire, love, physical contact, violence, power and sometimes also controversy. A struggle that must be fought by every individual during his lifetime. Contemporary dance performance is directed and choreographed by Pál Frenák. DANCE: Jánošík - the famous Slovak bandit-turned-hero, has been the popular subject of many works of art. This time, choreographer/director Ondrej Šoth used the dance – modern, but folklore inspired – as a means to express this traditional national story. EXHIBITION: Femme Fatale - The exhibition Femme Fatale curated by Peter Markovič presents a motif of a woman in the Eastern fine arts from the early 20th century until the present in the creation of 49 artists. The thematic project is divided into five separate units, reflecting the development of topics which are related to the perception of women, culture or traditions. The basic objective of the exhibition is reflection and connection of the creations of older and younger generations of artists. EXHIBITION: Bienále maľby V., Živá maľba/ V. Biennale painting, live painting - The exhibition curated by Gabriela Garlatyová is the only repeat of unique project which presents the creation of seven young artists, who are connected to each other with unconventional approach to the medium of painting: Juraj Florek, Martin Kochan, Patrícia Koyšová, Anna Krivanská, Filip Sabol, Rastislav Sedlačík and Juraj Toman.
