CONCERT: Foals - An English indie rock band from Oxford who formed in 2005 and debuted in 2007 and like the Muse or Coldplay they created their own sound titled broad-rock based on a balanced ratio of guitar lines and electronics. The way in which these two components are mixed in their songs made them different from the other groups. The Foals have recently filled up the London Wembley Arena and they released albums: Antidotes (2008), Total Life Forever (2010), Holy Fire (2013), What Went Down (2015). BALLET: Carmen à la Gypsy Devils - A dance drama about the passionate, true love of a beautiful and untamed gypsy girl – a famous love story which is not short on romantic intertwining and passionate emotion, a story of jealousy that inevitably leads to a tragic death. This timeless story comes to life in rousing dance with a mixture of Spanish and gypsy temperaments. Georges Bizet’s romantic melodies abound in an original musical adaptation by Ernest Šarközi, the leading personalities of Cigánski diabli (The Gypsy Devils), one of the best orchestras in the category of ethnic and world music in the world. This original work in which folklore with other musical genres are masterfully combined (jazz, ethno, flamenco) is complemented by the exceptional virtuosity, which is an essential part of Cigánski diabli’s artistic expression. The ballet is choreographed by Ladislav Cmorej, The Gypsy Devils Orchestra consists of Silvia Šarköziová, Ivan Martiš, Miroslav Martinovič and Natália Némethová. BALLET: Swan Lake - Ballet in three acts and four scenes. An oeuvre from P.I. Tchaikovsky is certainly the most famous title of the ballet repertoire. The romantic story of prince Siegfried and beautiful princess Odetta utterly changed into a swan is the basis of the Classical Russian Ballet School. This time, the ballet is conducted by Martin Leginus, choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev I. Ivanov, with ballet masters Mária Kupcová, Igor Holováč and Nora Gallovičová. OUTDOOR: Magio pláž/ Magio Beach - This is the 10th time when visitors can enjoy music, dancing, sports, games, sunbathing and lovely view of Bratislava. They can wait on the right side of the Danube traditionally two beach volleyball courts and one court for beach football, table tennis, badminton, petanque or darts and sporting equipment rental. News are for example TV broadcasts from The Olympic Games, UEFA EURO 2016 or Tour de France on the six screens stationed on the beach, urban area with grill for preparing own food. 10th edition of beach will bring, among other things symbolic 10 concerts. The youngest visitors of the beach can await regular interactive program together with children's shows. Starts: The beach has been already opened until Sep 4, Tyršovo Waterfront. CELEBRATION: Korunovačné slávnosti 2016/ The Coronation Ceremony 2016 - This occasion belongs to the biggest cultural events in Slovakia and it brings coronation of 18 kings and queens who were crowned in Bratislava. The event takes place on the last weekend of June every year to commemorate the coronation of Maria Theresa, who was coronated on June 25th in 1741. The ceremony is staged according to historical documents and performed by more than 150 actors in historical costumes. Starts: Jun 24 - 26; Main Square, Primatial Square, Hviezdoslavovo Square, Palackého street and other places. FESTIVAL OF NEW CIRCUS: Cirkul´Art 2016 - International event of contemporary theatre and circus connects theatre, acrobatics, circus and street arts in modern family events. The program includes circus ensembles The Black Blues Brothers from Kenya, The Cubes Circus from Israel, La Bella Tour from Spain, The Losers Cirque Company from Czech Republic, Strange Comedy from Canada and USA,  Fred Teppe - Tuiles from France, Gogol & Mäx from Germany and others. FESTIVAL: Neon Festival - The brand NEON brings a festival of electronic music to Slovakia that is comparable with top foreign productions. This two-day festival located near the lake Zlaté Piesky presents to its visitors world stars to kick off another summer. The show full of emotions, experiences, technological advances, audio-visual arts, dance performances and others has a line-up which includes artists such as Above & Beyond, Arty, Ilan Bluestone, Nifra, ReOrder, Pico, Underworld Live, Rudimental (DJ set), Nora En Pure and others. MEETING: Day in nature – collecting plants, cooking, eating, learning + yoga - Event will be held in English. This day in nature is suitable for people who would like to spend a day in nature, cook, eat, exercise and find out more about the freshest, cheapest and lowest in fat food, which they maybe already know, but probably do not eat. The program comprises breakfast smoothies from herbs + oats, picking herbs in nature, interactive lecture about plants, cooking lunch (crackers, soup and warm vegetable salad) and much more including yoga. OUTDOOR: River show 2016 - The exhibition of luxury boats and yachts, adrenaline shows of top sportsmen, fashion shows and interesting lectures await visitors to the River show 2016. In addition to wakesurfing and wakeboarding riders, speed scooter riding will be performed by Mário Lamy who has won the Slovak Championship several times in several categories, in addition to titles from European and World Championships.The programme also consists of artists such as Anita Soul, Anabela Mollová, Miki Ozuka and others. The second year of the show includes a charitable dimension. This time it supports horse rider with Down's syndrome Filip Graňo. FESTIVAL: 41. Medzinárodný gitarový festival J. K. Mertza/ 41. International Guitar Festival  - World-renowned guitar festival with a more than 40-year tradition offers concerts, master courses and workshops. The festival is a part of Cultural Summer and Castle Festival Bratislava 2016. The programme consists of artists from Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia. The content of the festival is significantly a specific type of classical music art, which belongs to the genre called. classical music, however, it has gained great popularity thanks to the position of classical guitar. FESTIVAL: Bratislavský organový festival 2016/ Bratislava Organ Festival 2016 - The fifth year of Bratislava Organ Festival will present the organ a little differently this time. It will be possible to see it in combination with vocals and baroque trumpet, in the extravagant position affecting up to the borders of pop music, in improvisation project with a reciter, but of course also in the classic and royal discipline - the big organ reciter. The first concert of the festival is titled Organ&Voice&Trumpet and it will be performed by artists from Slovakia and Hungary: Soma Dinyés (organ), Tomáš Šelc (bass-baritone), László Borsódy (trumpet). They will present works by well-known composers:  J. S. Bach, G. F. Händel and D. Buxtehude. Starts: Jun 28, 18:00; Music Hall of Bratislava Castle. EXHIBITION: Inšpiratívne a kreatívne leto pre deti v Bibiane/ Inspiring and Creative Summer for Children in Bibiana - Four new exhibitions are prepared: Umenie záhrady/ The Art of The Garden (The exhibition will bring a piece of little-known history, where and why first gardens were created and how they have changed during the centuries), Živé mesto/ The Living city (Children will watch the “bowels” of  the city and learn how the the whole city does it work), Kuk na Zvuk /Peekaboo at the Sound (Discovering facts and curiosities about the acoustics is the main mission of this small but interesting interactive exhibition), Európske rozprávky/ European Tales (The exhibition points out similarities among the different cultures and common basis of European culture). EXHIBITION/GUIDED TOUR: Sunday Rest in English Language: François Kollar - The exhibition presents the personality of François Kollar. His photographs from fashion, advertising and industry are well-known for rare experimentation in the context of forming of modern photography. François Kollar, originally from Slovakia, was also a famous member of new objectivity of the movement. Starts: Jul 3, 16:00. Advance booking is not required. EXHIBITION: Krištof Kintera: Prirodzená nervozita/ Natural nervousness - The exhibition of significant Czech sculptor Krištof Kintera presents a creation from the last seven years. The selection of his chosen works has the ambition to show one of the central lines of the artist’s sculpture creation. It reflects the phenomenon of the global nature that is damaged, modified and unstable. The link of his works may entertain at first, but in reality they carry within them much deeper thought. INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION: Sculpture and object XXL - The main objective of the organisers of this event is to mediate direct contact between the works of art and the audience as was done in previous years. International cooperation offers an opportunity to learn more about other cultures through art as the universal medium of communication. The 21st year of this international exhibition will present the works of more than 50 artists from Slovakia, Argentina, Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland and Sweden and it consists of an open-air aspect with large scale works which will take place at Grassalkovich (Presidential) garden and the rest of the exhibition will be displayed in 10 galleries in central Bratislava. STAND-UP COMEDY: Bill Bailey (Black Books) - Limboland - The actor and stand-up comedian, important representative of the legendary sitcom Black Books, Bill Bailey will come to Bratislava after a tour in the UK, sold-out performances in Singapore and Hong Kong and a tour in Australia and New Zealand with his new live show Limboland. This time his stand-up comedy will include deep existential themes of modern man. Bill Bailey is described by critics as one of the best and most outstanding comedians today. CONCERT: Jean-Michel Jarre - Electronica Tour 2016 - Jean-Michel Jarre will return to the road after six years with the show titled Electronica. First he will play chosen European summer festivals and then he will visit large halls from October. Jean-Michel Jarre holds a number of records listed in the Guinness Book of Records including, for example, his performance for 3.5 million fans in Moscow.
