SWING: Golden Age Festival – The festival focuses on jazz from the 1920s-1940s, in original arrangements by bands Hot Jazz Band (HU), Fats Jazz Band (SK) and the Lam Trio (CZ). The event will culminate in a jam session offering genres like ragtime, hot-jazz, New Orleans, dixieland, swing and Boogie-woogie. Starts: Sep 17, 19:00; V – klub, SNP Square 12.  Admission: €15-€19. CONCERT: Performance by Israeli artist - Young Israeli percussionist, singer and songwriter presents  her project, “La Gitana” which uses exotic instruments, sounds and voices. CONCERT: Work by Pink Floyd presented by Slovak Radio - the Atom Heart Mother Suite, the longest track of the eponymous album by the well-known group Pink Floyd, is led by Anton Popovič and performed by rock band Talent Transport, with Michal Bugala (guitar), a 10-member brass ensemble, mixed choir Lúčnica and Jozef Lupták (solo cello). FESTIVAL: Cultural event with international performances - The Nomadic Arts Festival 2016: Neighbourhood and Territory is an event full of culture and specific performances. It is dedicated to the local community associated with A4 - the Centre for Contemporary Arts within the streets Šancová and Karpatská, bringing the motif of neighbourhood to the fore. FESTIVAL:  Oriental dances in Bratislava - The three-day festival of oriental dance, which is named “Pressburg Dance Fest 2016”, connects the dance communities of Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary. EXHIBITION: Works by Marek Kvetan - An exhibition by European multimedia artist Marek Kvetan, in which he finds the motion in the single cultural basis of the atributes of the visual era and its margins. STAND-UP COMEDY: Bill Bailey (Black Books) - Limboland - The actor and stand-up comedian, important representative of the legendary sitcom Black Books, Bill Bailey will come to Bratislava after a tour in the UK, sold-out performances in Singapore and Hong Kong and a tour in Australia and New Zealand with his new live show Limboland. This time his stand-up comedy will include deep existential themes of modern man. Bill Bailey is described by critics as one of the best and most outstanding comedians today. CONCERT: Jean-Michel Jarre - Electronica Tour 2016 - Jean-Michel Jarre will return to the road after six years with the show titled Electronica. First he will play chosen European summer festivals and then he will visit large halls from October. BALLET: Romeo and Julliet - A romantic story composed by Sergey Prokofiev, inspired by the famous theatre play by Williama Shakespeare will be performed by the world renowned Royal Russian Ballet. The topic of forbidden love has been performed many times as a drama or the ballet, but a musical concept by Prokofiev belongs to the highlights of the ballet creation.
