THEATRE: Theatre Festival in Nitra 2016: The organisers of the International Theatre Festival Divadelná Nitra have prepared a varied accompanying programme and many interesting events. The 25th edition of the festival will be opened by the prestigious German ensemble Münchner Kammerspiele who will perform in Slovakia for the first time in its history. CONCERT: Various genres of music played by the same group - Especias is a group, which plays their own compositions and arranged jazz, folk and classical music with modern elements. Members of the group are: Filip Urda (bayan/ accordion), Erik Kováč (guitar), Barbora Comendant (bassguitar), Matej Richtarčík (drums, percussion). Starts: Sep 23, 20:30. EXHIBITION: Connection of Palo Mach with personalities of Slovak visual art - Exhibition is dedicated to paintings on glass and includes Slovak artists Ivan Csudai, Rudolf Fila, Ľudovít Fulla, Jana Hojstričová, Jozef Jankovič, Palo Macho, Svätopluk Mikyta or Laco Teren. FAIR: Traditions in Sebechleby - The aim of the 9th edition of this cultural and social event is to present the customs and traditions of the Banská Bystrica Region. EXHIBITION: The life of the first Slovak female botanist - The first Slovak female botanist was a postal worker from Blatnice, intelligent woman Izabela Textorisová. CONCERT: Denver band - This is the first performance of Denver, Colorado group named “Slim Cessna’s Auto Club". EXHIBITION: Dušan Polakovič – This exhibition which is coming to a close, represents a tribute to a recently deceased Slovak artist who was famous for his black-and-white graphic works – including ex libris – which mostly hailed Bratislava but also ordinary people, mythology, worlds of literary characters, and more. EXHIBITION: Three exhibitions - Three current exhibitions has been opened in the middle of September in the Spiš Artists Gallery.
