Start Growing: Invest In Your Fundraising And Create Synergies

Many non-profit organisations don’t realise that in order to successfully fulfill their mission over the long-term they need, just like a business, to invest in their development.

Investing in the creation of sources of funding means not only developing communication or basic fundraising infrastructure. Building relationships, looking for partners and allies which move our fundraising to a new level is no less important.

The need to invest in fundraising and create mutual synergies has become the main theme of the CEE Fundraising Conference, which takes place from 12-14 October in Bratislava, Slovakia.

What leads to success in fundraising? Where can we get investment funding? These themes will be discussed by fundraisers and experts on campaigning, communication and building relationships. The conference is a regular meeting of fundraisers from a wider CEE region, with contributions from experts from developed markets such as the United Kingdom, USA, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland.

Among the speakers coming to Bratislava to share their rich experience are Kay Sprinkel Grace (US), who will talk about partnerships across the sector and getting volunteers involved while Jillian Stewart and Arko Hoondert (NL) and Lukáš Hejna (CZ) with Igor Polakovič (SK) will reveal the secrets of peer-to-peer fundraising. Jolan van Herwaarden (NL) and Trisha Tanner (HU) will highlight the possibilities of investing in fundraising, Jan Uekermann (CH) is going to present the latest trends in online fundraising, Emily Bracken (ES) will teach us how to measure results and Betsy Akin (US) will talk about corporate fundraising. The meeting will also feature talks on other themes from, among others, Marianna Zappi (UK), Martyna Żak (PL), Aleš Jeník (CZ), Hana Mlkvá (SK), Alena Seoud (CZ), Milan Ondič (CZ) and Juraj Rizman (SK).
