Dominika Cibulková is the winner of the WTA Finals in Singapore.

She beat her opponent, number one in the world ranking, Angelique Kerber, in two sets 6:3, 6:4. The match lasted 77 minutes.

The victory is Cibulková's greatest achievement so far in her career.

Cibulková managed to beat the German player for the first time after failing to do so in their previous five mutual matches. The two players' match history is now tied, 5:5.

For Cibulková, this is her eighth WTA title, her fourth this year, and so far the most precious of her career, the Sme daily.
