Žáčiková approved as general commissioner for EXPO Astana 2017

Slovak cabinet appointed Patrícia Žáčiková as the general commissioner of Slovakia’s exhibition at the EXPO Astana 2017 in Kazakhstan.

The international EXPO Astana 2017 exposition will take place between June 10 and September 10, 2017. Its pivotal topic will be Future Energy and its subtopics – Energy for All, Reducing CO2 Emissions, and an Energy-efficient Image of Life, the TASR newswire wrote.

Slovakia will be accorded 350 square metres to present itself. The preliminary total costs have been estimated at around €2.66 million.

Expenditures for the general commissioner and the secretariat’s activities will be covered by the Economy Ministry, which is the main coordinator of Slovakia’s participation in the exposition, the Slovak cabinet decided at its November 2 session.
