CONCERT: Lisa Simone - who served with the American airforce and is the daughter of famous singer Nina Simone, performs her concert based on the City Sounds of Bratislava. BALLET: Georgian national ballet – The almost 70-year old ballet ensemble, Sukhisvili will come to Bratislava as part of their European tour. GASTRONOMY: Gourmet Fridays - Special tasty dinners in autumn colours are still available during November at the Riverbank restaurant on the Danube embankment. Visitors can taste the traditional duck or goose, that is typical for this season but there are also other specialities from the chef's hands. MARKET: Christmas Markets in Bratislava Castle - Christmas Markets in Bratislava are for the first time not only in the city centre but also around Bratislava Castle. The event called Advent na hrade/ Advent in the Castle also includes a Christmas program and a live Betlehem nativity. Starts: The markets are open until Dec 18; the Bratislava Castle. TOUR: St. Nicholas Walk – A tour, which will be held three days before St. Nicholas leaves shoes on the windows full of sweets, follows the route: Aeroplane - Peserany - Skalka - Remanancie - Holý Hill - Kamenné Sea - Cottege Astória - the well - Hotel Sitno - Areal of Biatlon Vyhne. FESTIVAL: Uprising, Winter Edition - The seventh year of the reaggae festival Uprising brings various performers of this genre. The main star of the event will be French group and significant European reaggae representatives, Dub inc. SCREENING: Blind Loves - Slepé lásky/ Blind Loves is a 2008 Slovakian film directed by Juraj Lehotský. It was Slovakia’s official submission for the 2009 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. FESTIVAL: Slovak Queer Film Festival - The festival, which celebrates its 10th anniversary, brings movies about LGBTI people to audiences in five different Slovak cities. EXHIBITION: Jiří Georg Dokoupil – The exhibition named Oxymoron, created by world renowned artist Jiří Georg Dokoupil, presents his bubble paintings and also one of the latest projects of the author - Furniture For Fotos, which are 3D installations with 3D people. Highlights of the year

BALLET: Romeo and Julliet - A romantic story composed by Sergey Prokofiev, inspired by the famous theatre play by Williama Shakespeare will be performed by the world renowned Royal Russian Ballet. The topic of forbidden love has been performed many times as a drama or the ballet, but a musical concept by Prokofiev belongs to the highlights of the ballet creation. COMEDY SHOW: Michael Winslow – the Popular US comedian (Police Academy, Space Balls, Gremlins) will perform in Bratislava, bringing his show full of sound imitations, music, storytelling, and even a special version of the final battle scene from Star Wars. BALLET: Swan Lake - the ballet choreographed by the world-famous St. Petersburg Festival Ballet will visit three European cities including Bratislava, where they will come for the first time.
