The president added he will announce the possibility of running for a second term in the presidential office next September at the latest.

Such declarations were a response to speculations about his future political career that started soon after he announced he was expecting another child with his wife, Martina, the Sme daily reported.

The president also thanked people for the congratulations on account of the pregnancy . The president’s family lives in Poprad, but he visits them every weekend. Because he was using the government’s special plane for this purpose, he was recently criticised by several ruling politicians.

Following the criticism, he decided to use a car to travel to his hometown. The car broke down, however, during the very first drive, Sme wrote.

Kiska already said in the past that the separation from his family and loss of privacy have impacted his decisions concerning his potential political career. His wife was not very pleased about his candidacy for the presidential post in 2014, but she later supported it with the condition that she would take care of the children, Sme reported.
