THEATRE: Fanny and Alexander – The cult film by famous Swedish director Ingmar Bergman has, in recent seasons, dazzled audiences at the National Theatres in Copenhagen and Stockholm and two years ago received a standing ovation in the USA. PARADE: Umbrella Parade – Taking place for the sixth time in Bratislava the Umbrella Parade supports refugees worldwide. June 20th is World Refugee Day and reminds us of the braveness and power of all refugees. The celebration is held in more than 100 countries. Participants of the Parade march through the Old Town. PICNIC: Bratislavský dobový piknik – A picnic for whole city in the style of the first half of the last century – between the years 1900 and 1950. Authentic music bands, dancing workshops, the opportunity to have old-style make-up or hair, a photo studio and evening dancing, swing style are waiting for the visitors. FESTIVAL: Urban art festival – One-day multi-genre festival in the streets of Bratislava brings 16 stages and almost 40 performances of various music genres. MARKET: Vajnory market – Lovers of quality, local products, creative workshops and a family atmosphere should stop at the Vajnorské Farmárske trhy (Farmer’s market in Vajnory). Sellers will offer chickens, eggs, cheese, bakery products, the sheep cheese bryndza, spices and vegetables. EXHIBITION: Obrazy a sochy (Paintings and statues) – Vladimír Kompánek, sculptor and painter, is the most famous protagonist of Galandovci and at the same time one of the most charismatic people of the Slovak painting scene of the second half of 20th century. EXHIBITION: Maria Theresa 300 – The exhibition shows the life of Maria Theresa that started 300 years ago and the life of the city Pressburg that changed after Maria Theresa was crowned as a queen of the Habsburg monarchy. EXHIBITION: Don Quijote – The exhibition presents the character of Don Quijote that became the inspiration for many artistic pieces, not only in literature. Highlights of the year

CONCERT: Apocalyptica – This tour will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the launching of Plays Metallica with Four Cellos. Apocalyptica formed new attitudes towards the hits of this most famous rock band, created their own genre and started a career which has already lasted for 20 years.
