MINORITY PARADE: PRIDE Košice 2017 – The LGBTI community presentation in Košice starts on August 26 and lasts for a whole week, including film screening, debates, barbecues and workshops, as well as a barbecue and party (DJ Nada El from Bratislava, DJ Koko from Prague) on the opening day, in the Tabačka courtyard. Spišská Nová Ves

SPORT: Prešov Cyclo-marathon – This event offers a sport event for as many people as possible, offering four tracks (from 25 metres to 42 kilometres), thus striving to lure literally everyone outdoors to try and move, to improve fitness as well as relationships. Three tracks are around the city (two in the riding complex), while the first one leads around nearby villages. Starts: Aug 26, 11:30 – 16:00; starting on Hlavná /Main Street. MUSIC FESTIVAL: Tatra Flowers – The new festival offers 30 concerts at eight sites in three days, e.g. of SĽUK folklore troupe, Jana Kirschner, Peter Lipa, Billy Barman, Lucia Lužinská, Katarína Máliková, Mucha Quartet, Dalibor Karvay, Juraj Raši, Valér Miko Trio, Stroon, filmmaker and climber Pavol Barabáš, mountaineer Peter Hámor, and others.
