Largest employment agencies in Slovakia 2016

Not only well-known names placed in the list.

The ranking of the top 10 employment agencies is topped by company INDEX NOSLUŠ. It had the most permanent employees and published the most job offers on the Profesia job portal in 2016. Company EDYMAX SE reported the highest average sales revenues in the past three years, while company EUROTRADE – SR had the highest average net profit over the same period. Company Grafton Slovakia reported the highest number of placements in 2016. As for the quality of the recruiting process in 2016, the ranking is led by company Start Group.

“We have been preparing labour market analyses as part of our annual Career and Employment Guide for 18 years already,” said Ján Pallo, publisher of The Slovak Spectator. “The overview of the largest players in the market should help companies, as well as individuals, get more information when seeking a job or new colleagues.” The ten largest agencies employed more than 32,000 people and filled 3,519 positions for companies in 2016.

The ranking was created also thanks to the cooperation of the company Profesia. Seven criteria were evaluated which, among other things, indicate the most profitable companies or agencies, those which published the most job offers or reported the most placements.

“I am glad that one among the seven criteria is also the RecruitRank Index, which is today the only tool for companies to measure the satisfaction of jobseekers with the quality of the recruiting process as well as the work of recruiters,” said Ivana Molnárová, head of the job website Profesia.

The ranking does not include employment agencies for direct searches of experts or managers (executive search firms) because they use different methods for placements.

When creating the ranking, the below factors had the following weights:
- average number of permanent employees in 2016 – leased employees not included (32% weight);
- total number of placements in 2016 - leased positions not included (20% weight);
- number of leased employees in 2016 - only permanent employees (10% weight);
- average sales revenue between the years 2013-2015 (10% weight);
- average net profit between the years 2013-2015 (10% weight);
- RecruitRank for 2016 (10% weight);
- number of advertised positions in 2016 on www.profesia.sk (8% weight).

The agencies that decided not to publish their details were not included in the final analysis. However, based on The Slovak Spectator’s calculations, they would not have any significant impact on the top placings.
