Vadala arrived in the Schwechat airport in the morning, with Slovak police officers handing him to their Austrian colleagues. They later transported him to the airport where he waited for the flight in a prison cell, Noviny.sk wrote.

Apart from the Italian charges, Vadala is also prosecuted in Slovakia. He is accused of subvention fraud and harming the interests of the European Communities. Back in 2009, he allegedly wanted the Agricultural Paying Agency to pay him a subsidy of nearly €120,000, according to Noviny.sk.
