GDPR: Lack of clarity bothers companies the most

Companies work hard to prepare for GDPR.

A lack of clarity and differing interpretations of individual parts of the Slovak data protection legislation are among the biggest challenges mentioned by companies when implementing the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The Slovak Spectator asked three companies operating in different sectors, 10 days before the regulation becomes effective, about their preparedness for the regulation as well as the biggest challenges the GDPR has brought. Milan Vanga, spokesperson of the natural gas distributor SPP-Distribúcia, Nikola Richterová, PR manager of Profesia, the biggest job portal in Slovakia, and Michaela Turanová, compliance and internal audit manager at carmaker Kia Motors Slovakia, spoke about the GDPR implementation process in their companies.
