Three Slovak universities placed in the QS World University Rankings, evaluating thousands of the best universities in the world.
The Slovak University of Technology (STU) in Bratislava and Comenius University in Bratislava ranked among the group of 751st-800th place, while the Technical University of Košice (TUKE) placed in the group of 801st-1000th place.
The QS World University Rankings continue to enjoy a remarkably consistent methodological framework, compiled using six simple metrics that it believes effectively capture university performance, according to the official website. These include academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio, and international student ratio.

The QS World University Rankings 2019 covers 85 countries and this year includes 60 new entries.
QS World University Rankings belongs to the three oldest world university rankings, together with Academic Ranking of World Universities and Times Higher Education World.
“These rankings publish the order of the best schools in the world, which means only 2-3 percent of elite universities,” reads the analysis published by the Institute of Educational Policy.
