Snow can return to the mountains

The heat waves will be followed by a significant drop in temperatures and strong storms on June 22. There is even a possibility that it will be snowing in the mountains, the iMeteo.sk website informed.

“A distinctive cold front is expected to arrive to our territory tomorrow evening,” iMeteo.sk reads, as quoted by the Aktuality.sk website. “It will bring stronger storms and colder weather.”

In the mountains, at a height of about 1,500 metres above sea level, the temperature is expected to drop from 15 Celsius degrees to 0 Celsius degrees, while in some areas the temperature can be as low as -2 Celsius degrees, according to iMeteo.sk.
