The Finance Ministry has published its new state budget for next year.
This might be the last “law of the year” prepared by the incumbent minister, Peter Kažimír. According to information from several media, he plans to leave the ministry and take the National Bank of Slovakia’s (i.e. Slovak central bank’s) governor position. After months of non-committal answers, his interest in the position was also confirmed by Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini this week.
The budget for 2019 can be called “pre-election”, too. So what does it look like? Is it a step forward for health care?
