The Elite Language Center, an American-owned school that teaches business professionals English in Slovakia, has just released a short survey to learn more about the use of foreign languages for business purposes in Slovakia. The survey, which should take participants less than three minutes to complete, will help provide a clear overview of current conditions for those doing business in Slovakia.

“We hope to gain a really comprehensive understanding of the most common foreign languages used for business purposes in Slovakia,” said Christy Morgan, Chief of Operations at Elite Language Center.

Both employees and employers can take the survey

The centre would like to know where companies typically find employees who speak these languages, what challenges they face in recruiting foreign language employees and what language training opportunities they provide employees to enhance their skills.

Foreign language employees working for Slovak companies who take the survey will be asked what languages they speak in professional settings and for what purpose. The language centre also wants to learn more about their experiences during the hiring process and with the foreigner’s police.

“We also hope this research will give a stronger voice to the experience of foreign language employees about why they have chosen Slovakia over other countries, and what challenges they face along the way,” said Christy Morgan, Chief of Operations at Elite Language Center.

There are two versions of the survey: one for workers and job seekers and one for company representatives, including managers and those working in Human Resources. The Elite Language Center will release the results of the survey in a publicly-available report in January 2019.

Both surveys are available in English and Slovak and can be found below:
