Presidential election: Čaputová wins the election

These are the preliminary results of the second round of Slovakia’s presidential election.

With 100 percent of the votes counted, Zuzana Čaputová won the run-off with 58.4 percent of votes. Maroš Šefčovič has received 41.6 percent of the vote.

The turnout was lower than in the first round, according to the preliminary results. Only 41.79 percent of eligible voters took part, while in the first round it was 48.74 percent.
