Slovakia loses an important match against Germany

The country lost already the third game in the preliminary round.

The Slovak national hockey team lost an important match against Germany at the 2019 IIHF World Championship. The match ended with the result 2:3.

Slovak goals were scored by Andrej Sekera and Libor Hudáček. Marc Michaelis, Markus Eisenschmid and Leon Draisaitl scored for Germany.

Slovakia still has only 3 points in the preliminary round.

This year’s ice hockey world championship is being held in Slovakia, with the teams playing in Bratislava and Košice.

The Slovak national team is playing in group A of the preliminary round, with the matches being held in Košice. They will face teams from the US, Finland, Canada, Germany, France, Great Britain, and Denmark.

Based on the current men’s IIHF World Rankings, Slovakia is currently in 10th position with Germany ranking 8th.
