Slovaks outclassed Great Britain

The victory keeps the country in game for the quarterfinals. But the result of the match between Germany and the USA will be important.

The Slovak national hockey team won all three points in their match of the 2019 IIHF World Championships, defeating Great Britain with the result 7:1.

Slovak goals were scored by Andrej Sekera, Libor Hudáček, Martin Marinčin, Michal Čajkovský, Marián Studenič, Matúš Sukeľ, and Dávid Bondra. The only British goal was scored by Mike Hammond.

Slovakia now has 9 points in the preliminary round.

This year’s ice hockey world championship is being held in Slovakia, with the teams playing in Bratislava and Košice.

The Slovak national team is playing in group A of the preliminary round, with the matches being held in Košice. They will face teams from the US, Finland, Canada, Germany, France, Great Britain, and Denmark.

Based on the current men’s IIHF World Rankings, Slovakia is currently in 10th position with Great Britain ranking 22nd.
