The sandy area on the southern bank of the Danube called Tyršovo Nábrežie opened on its 13th season.

The beach offers an open-air cinema, concerts, food court, sports activities as well as workshops and discussions.

There is a free WiFi connection in the whole area of the beach and a coworking centre. The beach has its own library for the first time.

It is possible to play beach volleyball and football. There is also a fitness zone where various training and activities take place and a playground for petanque. It is possible to rent a kayak and sail on the Danube.

The novelty of the 13th year of the beach is the green policy. As organisers state on the official website, the beach produced a lot of plastic last year – 250,000 single-use plastic cups, 70,000 plastic straws, 15,000 PET bottles and 10 tons of construction waste.

This year, all drinks will be served in plastic cups on deposit created from recycled plastics. The food will be sold in compostable dishes, with the composter located in the compound.
