The state-run railway passenger carrier ZSSK will reinforce their train provision for the traditional Levoča pilgrimage held on July 6 and 7.

They will dispatch 28 local trains on the track between Spišská Nová Ves and Levoča, but these will not stop in Harichovce and Levočšké Lúky, ZSSK informed in a press release.

The trains to and from Levoča will leave at times that allow the pilgrims to continue from Spišská Nová Ves on trains travelling on the main Bratislava-Žilina-Košice route.

“As well as these, there will be volunteers among the pilgrims who can help if necessary,” said Katarína Načiniaková, PR manager and spokesperson for the Falck company in Slovakia, as quoted by the SITA newswire.

Moreover, there will be a medical centre situated directly on Marian Hill, where rescuers and doctors will treat pilgrims in need. There will also be a fully equipped ambulance, SITA wrote.
