People with German passports or a certificate of a foreigner living in Germany can now use the services available via the central public administration website, Slovensko.sk.
This is possible thanks to the eIDAS regulation and new EU rules enabling these people to log into the Slovensko.sk website and use the e-letterbox. Soon other EU countries will follow, the National Agency for Network and Electronic Services (NASES) informed.
The regulation on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market (eIDAS) creates a common ground for safe e-services, and accelerates the development of digital communication within the EU. Its aim is to enable the mutual recognition of an eID card and other authenticators in all EU member states.
