The European Labour Authority (ELA) is searching for the first employees for its new headquarters in Bratislava. It has published the first six offers on the website.
One of the lures may be the salary. ELA offers different salaries for various positions, with the highest amounting to about €5,000, the TASR newswire reported.
ELA will employ 140 people in Bratislava.

The salaries for the given positions differ. The heads of departments may earn as much as €4,999, the job ads suggest. The employment agreement with an employee will be signed for five years and can be renewed. The advertised salary for a white-collar position is €3,892, TASR wrote.
Job applicants need to meet several conditions. Apart from qualification, they also need to have experience in the given field and speak foreign languages.
First meeting in October
The first 26 employees are expected to start working in Bratislava’s ELA headquarters on October 1. Some of them will relocate from Brussels, while others will be chosen in a selection procedure, said Slovak Labour Minister Ján Richter (Smer) in early June.Related articleRead more
Moreover, the first meeting of the body administered by ELA is scheduled for October.
The agency’s supervisory board will be comprised of the representatives of all EU member states. Slovakia will not run for its chair, but probably for the post of deputy chair, Richter said back in June, as reported by TASR.
