The Bratislava Regional Court has cancelled the May verdict of the Bratislava I District Court, which sent Hossu behind bars for six years and ordered alcohol addiction therapy for him.

Hossu, who has expressed his regret,attacked Acorda in the early morning on May 26, 2018. The Filipino expat was trying to prevent the sexual harassment of two women by Hossu, who was under the influence. The attack took place on Obchodná Street in Bratislava.
