Polus City Centre changes to Vivo!

The oldest shopping centre in Slovakia, Polus City Center, was officially renamed Vivo! Bratislava on November 7. The change of name came with some major modernisation, the SITA newswire reported.

The owner, Immofinanz, invested €25 million into the refurbishment, the Denník N daily reported.

The reconstruction included the creation of 35 new shops, the renovation of 10 existing shops and the implementation of a farmer's market, as well as the strengthening of local brands and the introduction of new international ones.

Among the new shops is the supermarket Lidl and fashion chain LPP. Vivo! Bratislava now offers 170 shops over 36,000 square metres, SITA reported.

Vivo! belongs to the Immofinanz company and its portfolio consists of 10 shopping centres – four in Poland, four in Romania and one each in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
