The end of summer led to a deterioration of the pandemic situation in Slovakia. This was also reflected in how other countries view people arriving from Slovakia. Some countries moved Slovakia to a worse tier.

As a result, entry conditions for travellers from Slovakia are stricter than during the summer. Some simplification emerged at the beginning of July when EU Digital Covid Certificates were introduced, containing a QR code with information on vaccination, recovery from Covid or Covid tests. They are often accepted as an alternative to other documents required when crossing the borders.

A guide on how to obtain your EU green pass if you were vaccinated in Slovakia can be found here.

When coming to Slovakia from abroad, people need to fill in the eHranica online form and self-isolate, unless they have been fully vaccinated against Covid. The system, which came into force on July 9, has some exceptions.
