The intention of the Swiss company Mubea Automotive Slovakia to establish a new manufacturing hall in Kežmarok (Prešov Region) has been certified by the government as an important investment, the TASR newswire reported.

The company plans to produce car components, namely stabiliser bars and spring band clamps. They will also set up an engineering centre, which will support the Slovak plant and other plants within the Mubea group, the Economy Ministry's proposal reads.
The plant will stand in the industrial park of Kežmarok, which has long been considered to be one of the least developed regions in Slovakia. Mubea Automotive will invest €51 million in total, TASR wrote.
At the same time, the company will hire more than 500 employees, out of which 115 will work in the engineering centre.
The investment itself is said to be split between 2018 and 2023, as reported by TASR.
