Košice airport offers flights to Switzerland and Croatia

In the first quarter of 2024, Košice airport processed almost 100,000 passengers.

Passengers using the services of Košice airport can now fly to Zurich, Switzerland, and soon can hop on a plane to the Adriatic Sea.

Flights to Switzerland are part of the airport's summer flight schedule, which will be replaced by the winter one at the end of October. Swiss International Air Lines started operating a regular route between Zurich and Košice three times a week on March 27.

Another novelty is flights to Zadar, Croatia.

"The first flight is scheduled for June 2. There will be flights twice a week - on Wednesdays and Sundays until September 29," explained Juraj Tóth, manager
for business development of Košice airport.

Passengers can also fly from Košice to Dublin, Vienna, Warsaw, Prague, Liverpool and London (Stansted and Luton).

On Thursday, the airport announced that over 900 charter flights to and from 17 beach resort destinations in 11 countries, including Albania, Turkey, Egypt, Cyprus, Tunisia and Italy, are planned for the summer season.

In the first quarter of this year, Košice airport processed almost 100,000 passengers. Their number increased not only compared to the same period last year, but also the pre-pandemic year of 2019. Compared to the first quarter of 2019, this is an increase of 15.4 percent.
